Shipping Container Home in Colorado Mountains!

Shipping container home just 2 miles from beautiful and vibrant downtown Salida!  Nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Christo mountains, kick back in style as you gaze across at the Collegiate Peaks---with the highest concentration of 14’ers in the State.  Salida’s banana belt weather is as mild as you can get for the mountains, promoting outdoor activities 365 days a year.  See why Outdoor Magazine called it the best unsung mountain town.  The ultimate Colorado vacation experience!  

Just remember these are shipping containers and the space is efficient...if not small. As such, we can only host 5 guests if at least one of them is pint-sized (a kiddo). We can only comfortably accommodate 4 adults, at most, but we list the guest count as 5 so that we can be more family-friendly. PLEASE NOTE: THIS HOME IS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR PARTIES. You're welcome to host a couple of folks for dinner or a drink (especially outside) but we cannot have more than 8-10 folks in the house at any given time. Thanks in advance for your cooperation on that.

 Want to stay in and cook? You’ll enjoy the well-equipped kitchen or grilling out on the deck. Or order curbside pick-up or delivery from one of Salida's many nearby restaurants. Our cleaning standards have always been very high (as you can tell by our reviews), but with the advent of the COVID 19 threat, we've doubled-down our already high disinfecting standards to ensure the safety of our employees, guests, and our entire community.  

Where to begin with the unique elements of this home!  We will have details on the ins and outs on site.   Just remember these are shipping containers and the space is efficient...if not small.  Our co-host Jess is a local with a team to ensure you have a 5-star experience.  This is the best of both worlds:  cozy little spot on the mountainside, but just outside of town!  We are right by the mountain bike trails on Methodist Mountain.  The Aquatic Center is less than a mile away if you want to walk down to Highway 50.   Lyft occasionally works in town, but locals prefer Rocky Mountain Taxi.    

Do know that you may have to prepare for winter conditions of course!   Our driveway is steep.  Our TV has a Roku so you can access your own streaming accounts, and it also comes with YouTube TV, which gives you access to over 70 live channels.  Coffee maker is a Keurig.
